Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you sign in, we collect your email address, which is used to sign you in and identify your account.

If you subscribe to Pro, Stripe handles your payment details directly. We do not receive or store your full payment card number. We only keep your Stripe customer ID, subscription ID, and subscription status.

If you use custom alerts or favorites, we store what you've configured, such as callsigns, aircraft, areas, and bookmarked flights or airports, so these settings are available when you return.

IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps, and other basic technical or log data may also be processed automatically as part of running the service, mainly through our hosting provider, Vercel. This information may be used for security, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, and keeping the service running.

What we don't collect

No advertising or cross-site tracking is active on FlightMap.live today.

We don't sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Run your account, including sign-in, favorites, and alerts
• Process Pro subscription billing
• Apply monthly usage limits
• Respond when you contact us
• Maintain the security and functionality of the service
• Troubleshoot technical issues and prevent fraud or abuse

We store the number of searches you make during each monthly billing period to enforce usage limits. We do not store the search queries themselves for this purpose.

Cookies & local storage

We currently use essential cookies required for authentication and account functionality through Supabase.

We do not currently use advertising cookies or non-essential tracking cookies.

Favorites are also cached in your browser's local storage for fast, offline-friendly access. If you're signed in, your favorites are synced to your account as well.

Flight data

Flight information displayed by FlightMap.live comes from third-party aviation data providers, including OpenSky Network and AeroDataBox.

This data is used to provide flight tracking and related features. FlightMap.live does not use this aviation data to build advertising profiles.

Who we share data with

We rely on a small number of service providers to operate FlightMap.live. Each provider receives only the information reasonably necessary to provide its service.

Aviation data providers

FlightMap.live uses aviation data from OpenSky Network and AeroDataBox to provide flight tracking and related features.

Stripe processes payment information directly under its own privacy policy. FlightMap.live does not receive or store your full payment card number.

How long we keep your data

We retain your account information and saved preferences while your account is active.

If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we need to retain certain information for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls.

Where applicable, Supabase Row Level Security (RLS) helps ensure that account data is accessible only to the appropriate user.

No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Your choices

You can clear your locally stored favorites at any time through your browser.

You can cancel your Pro subscription through your billing details.

You may request deletion of your FlightMap.live account and personal data by contacting us at hello@flightmap.live.

You may also contact us at the same address with questions about this Privacy Policy or how your information is handled.

Children

FlightMap.live is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top of this page.
